In addition to linguistics, genealogy has been an interest of mine for several years.

Genealogy can act as an additional outlet for my passion for research. Gathering data, comparing the evidence for competing hypotheses, and coming to the most probable conclusions based on those hypotheses are all things that a genealogist has to do.
